Finding Space within Sculpture
Homage to Aase Texmon Rygh
Can my subjective experience of sculpture translate into an accessible experience of architecture?
The project is an architectural homage to the Norwegian modernist sculptor Aase Texmon Rygh. About her own work she says:
I struggle with a story that I can never quite be done with. I start over and over again. I don’t care about which story. The moment it becomes too clear, my work becomes a construction, not sculpture. Something has to remain on the unconscious level. I don’t want to explain or analyze the story, the fact that it exists is enough.
I want to make a spatial contribution to this story.
