Lightweight timber system for prefabricated housing

The situation for young people to enter the real-estate market in Norway, has over the past decade been developing into an almost impossible challenge. The prices of houses are soaring higher and higher, and the banks are being more and more resistant to loaning out money. In other words, the difference between those who get a house and those who don’t, is getting longer every day.

This project is refined down to as small dimensions as possible, to carry the loads as good as possible, also making each element large enough to give sense, but lightweight so 2–3 persons can handle it. And if you put all these elements together, you have a house.

It does not only make it lightweight, it is also cheaper on the use of materials, which means that less energy is embodied in each building. It’s even environmental!
