Borderscape – Living space
Addressing the mental border of the Berlin Wall by enhancing wildlife and daily life
Addressing the mental border of the Berlin Wall by enhancing wildlife and daily life.
By making the land common ground it will create a new identity for the environment while providing a constantly changing landscape with alternating attractions. Fostering wildlife with different strategies and an improved path and guiding system aims to attract people. This common space for everyone will address the mental border still existing especially on the outskirts of Berlin. Design strategies are used to initiate processes and set a framework to manage the co-existence of wildlife and human use. The aim is to establish a valuable space with different qualities, which makes people interact with their environment as well as starting to feel responsible for it.
