Aker Solutions is one of the world’s leading providers of oilfield products, systems and services and employ approximately 28,000 people in about 30 countries on every continent. Technology-driven innovation currently characterize the company and its services towards the customers.
The main goal for this project has been to investigate whether service design methodology could create added value for Aker Solutions’ customers and hence for the company itself. The context has been the multiWOCS™ acqusition process, which is a business-to-business case.
By keeping a holistic and customer centric perspective on today’s process, I could map out the dynamics within the current actor network and find needs and wishes for the future. Applying customer insights to new innovations could give Aker Solutions a great competitive advantage within the field of workover services.
