In wind and water

– a small sea bath in
Reykjavik

The bath is cut into a sea wall along the Reykjavik peninsula. Making a connection between the city and the sea, letting the sea in and the city out. You can enjoy the sheltered hot tubs on land or fully expose yourself to the Atlantic sea. Either way the wind, water and light is an essential part of the experience..

During high tide the site is partly flooded. During low tide you can walk all the way out the pier and look into the horizon. On land the buildings are split into pieces to force visitors to experience the play of wind, water and light.
The aim was to create a place where you can feel the extremes of Iceland. Naked towards nature.
